Web Design

A typical 5–10 page bespoke website takes 2–4 weeks from project sign-off to launch. Larger projects (20+ pages, e-commerce, custom functionality) typically require 8–12 weeks. We'll provide a precise timeline once we understand your requirements in our initial consultation.

Yes — full code ownership is transferred to you on final payment. You'll receive all source files, documentation and login credentials. You're free to take the code to any developer in the future, though we hope you won't need to!

Bespoke HTML/CSS/JS sites are faster, more secure (no plugin vulnerabilities) and technically cleaner for SEO. They don't require ongoing WordPress licence fees or plugin compatibility maintenance. For clients who need a CMS they can update themselves, we build a lightweight admin panel into the site. We do also build WordPress sites when they're the better fit for a client's needs.

Yes — we typically split projects into two payments: 50% to start and 50% on launch/completion. We can discuss flexible arrangements for larger projects. Use the Let's Plan Now form to get a tailored quote.

We guide you through everything in the discovery phase. It helps to have your brand guidelines or existing logo, any copy you want to use and a sense of which websites you admire. We handle everything else — from structure to content strategy to photography.

Digital Marketing

3CM stands for 3 Calendar Marketing — a proprietary digital marketing framework built around three business calendars to plan precise, multi-channel campaigns across 3, 6 and 12-month life-cycles. It replaces the scattershot approach with structured lead-in and lead-out periods, accurate KPI targets and integrated paid, organic and peer marketing. Learn more on our 3CM Strategy page.

Digital marketing is more cost-effective than traditional advertising (TV, radio, print), allows precise audience targeting by demographic, location and interest, and provides real-time measurable results. You can adjust campaigns instantly based on performance data, reach a global audience from day one, and build compounding organic authority through SEO and content marketing. Unlike traditional channels, every pound spent is trackable back to revenue.

A Facebook page is a free profile that acts as your brand's hub for organic content, posts and community engagement — it's visible to anyone who visits, but relies on followers finding you. Facebook advertising (paid) lets you target precise audiences based on demographics, interests and behaviour, showing your ads to people who don't follow you yet. The two work best together: the page builds trust and the advertising drives reach.

CPC (Cost Per Click) means you only pay when a user clicks your ad. It's used in Google Ads, Facebook Ads and most major platforms. You set a maximum bid per click and a daily budget — the platform shows your ad as often as it can within your budget. CPC is ideal when you want to drive direct actions like website visits, form completions or purchases.

CPM (Cost Per Mille) means you pay per 1,000 impressions — i.e. every time your ad is shown to 1,000 people, regardless of whether they click. CPM is best used for brand awareness campaigns where you want maximum visibility rather than immediate clicks. The two models are often used together across different campaign stages.

The right channels depend on your audience, product and budget. As a rule:
Google Search Ads — when people are actively searching for your product/service
Facebook/Instagram Ads — when you want to reach people by interest and lifestyle
LinkedIn Ads — ideal for B2B targeting by job title and industry
YouTube Ads — brand awareness and product demonstrations
Display/Retargeting — keep your brand visible to people who've already visited your site

Yes. We create bespoke service agreements tailored to individual clients' budgets and requirements — from 3-month starter campaigns to 12-month fully-managed retainers. We prefer to earn your continued business through results rather than tie you into long lock-in contracts. All agreements are clearly documented and both parties can review terms at each renewal period.

Pricing & Billing

Invoices are emailed to your registered email address on payment confirmation for online purchases, or at agreed milestone dates for project work. All invoices include a full description of services, VAT breakdown and our company details. Copies are available any time from your client dashboard or by emailing accounts [at] kentmedia.co.uk.

All prices shown on our website are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. UK VAT at 20% is added at checkout. A full VAT invoice is issued for all purchases. If you're a VAT-registered business, you can reclaim the VAT through your usual accounting process — making our services effectively tax-deductible.

Yes — marketing and website costs are generally tax deductible as business expenses. As an independent consultant, our fees also avoid employer National Insurance contributions and PAYE costs. This often makes working with us significantly cheaper than hiring a full-time employee — in many cases we can effectively be working for free at year end once tax deductions are factored in. Please confirm with your accountant for your specific circumstances.

For digital services, our Terms of Service outline the refund policy in detail. For app licences, monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time with no further charges — unused days in the current billing period are not refunded. For project-based work, the initial deposit is non-refundable once work begins. We work closely with all clients to ensure satisfaction before final payment is requested.

Apps & Plug-ins

Our suite currently runs on WordPress. Bespoke integrations for non-WordPress environments are available on request — contact us to discuss your technical stack.

Monthly licences renew automatically via Stripe on the same date each month. You can cancel at any time from your client dashboard — the licence remains active until the end of the paid period. Annual licences are invoiced each year with 30 days' advance notice.

Yes — all licences include email support via hello [at] kentmedia.co.uk during UK business hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm). Bug fixes are included in the licence. Feature requests and custom development are quoted separately.

Hosting & Domains

Yes — we can manage the transfer of your existing domain to our hosting environment at no extra charge. The process typically takes 1–3 business days and we'll handle all the technical steps, keeping your existing email and website live throughout the transfer.

Our Business and Enterprise hosting plans carry a 99.9% uptime SLA. In the unlikely event of an outage, we notify all affected clients within 30 minutes where possible and provide a post-incident report. Planned maintenance windows are carried out regularly to ensure stable services and timed to cause as little disruption as possible.

All hosting plans include professional branded email (you@yourdomain.co.uk) with webmail access, full IMAP/SMTP support (compatible with Outlook, Apple Mail, Gmail etc.), spam and virus filtering, and generous mailbox storage. The number of mailboxes included depends on your hosting tier.
